Product identity and trust
How to check if perfume is original
To assess a perfume sold as an original brand product, verify the maker, seller and purchase channel before relying on the bottle. No home check of codes, packaging or smell can conclusively authenticate every perfume.
A HUME Fragrance buying guide

Start with the claimed brand
Use the brand's own store or retailer information to check the seller where available. A logo displayed by a shop is not independent confirmation.
Keep purchase evidence
Save the exact listing, selected version, invoice and seller details. These are useful if the supplied product differs from the offer.
Ask the brand when concerned
Use independently located official contact details. Avoid declaring a product genuine or counterfeit from one visual clue.
Try this before you buy
Write who makes the perfume and what independently checked evidence supports the seller's original-product claim.
