Projection comparisons
How to compare the projection of sweet perfumes
Compare sweet perfume projection by separating perceived sweetness from surrounding noticeability. A rich or dessert-like smell can feel prominent to the wearer without proving how it is perceived at normal interaction distance.
A HUME Fragrance buying guide

Define the sweet direction
Vanilla-like warmth and sugary fruit are different references. Record which character is being compared so sweetness is not mistaken for a single formula.
Use separate trials
Avoid layering several unfamiliar sweet fragrances and then assigning the combined presence to one product. Keep application and setting documented.
Ask for useful feedback
Where appropriate, ask a willing observer whether the fragrance is noticeable, not whether it is impressive. Later enjoyment and projection should remain separate.
Try this before you buy
Record sweetness intensity and outside noticeability as independent observations during each test.
