Application and care
How to keep a perfume testing journal
A perfume journal should record exact identity, context and how the scent changes, with a clear repeat-wear decision. Short consistent notes are more useful than forcing a complex score after every spray.
A HUME Fragrance buying guide

Record the product
Save maker, full name, version and applicator. This prevents a favorite being confused with a similar reference.
Separate observations
Opening, later texture, close-range scent and surrounding presence can be different. Note the setting without pretending it is a laboratory test.
End with a decision
Write whether you want another wear and what question remains. A dislike can be useful learning.
