Scent notes
What does leather smell like in perfume
Leather in perfume describes a constructed impression that may feel dry, smoky, smooth or suede-like. It does not mean leather material is dissolved in the bottle, and different leather accords can feel very different.
A HUME Fragrance buying guide

Choose a texture reference
A soft suede association differs from smoke or a sharper leather-jacket impression. Describing the texture helps narrow what you want to try.
Notice the supporting notes
Flowers, spice and woods can soften or emphasize parts of the effect. A leather note does not establish that the fragrance will feel entirely dark, loud or masculine.
Judge the complete composition
Try a sample through the later wear and record which part appeals. Do not treat an accord name as an ingredient source or a prediction of personal fit.
Try this before you buy
Describe whether the leather-like effect feels smooth, smoky, dry or another texture before reading the note list again.
