Why do perfume samples fade quickly
Samples do not have a special weak-fragrance category simply because they are small. Check the exact product and application: a tester atomizer can deliver a different amount from a full bottle, and related names may describe different fragrances.

Match the identity
Save maker, fragrance and version. A third-party decant and an inspired interpretation should not be assumed identical to an official sample of a designer product.
Record the applicator
Equal spray counts from two containers do not prove equal quantities. Describe what you used rather than claiming a controlled equal-dose test.
Retest the favorite
Give the candidate a separate second wear without mixing new samples. Check what remains later and whether you still enjoy it before deciding on a bottle.
