A perfume sample set brings several small fragrance quantities into one purchase. Its usefulness depends on the actual contents and what you want to learn, rather than the word set alone.

Check sample count, ml per sample and whether choices are fixed or selectable. Packaging is separate from perfume volume.
Define the comparison
Fresh versus woody or soft versus sweet gives the trial a purpose. Similar names may not provide meaningful contrast.
Plan separate wears
Use unfamiliar scents individually on suitable days and repeat promising favorites. Discovery need not lead to many full bottles.

Give each proposed sample one distinct reason to be included before buying the set.
